Personal Chef...Private Chef...What's the difference?
A private chef has one client, and prepares all of their meals daily. A personal chef has multiple clients, and prepares a series of dinner meals for one of the clients in one day.
What kinds of food do you provide?
I have hundreds of recipes covering many different cuisines. My personal favorites are Italian, American, and home style comfort foods.

Do I get to choose the menu?
Absolutely. These are your meals, so you will play a big part in what is prepared. We will first meet to discuss your likes and dislikes in food. From there, I will prepare a suggested dinner menu that you will review. We can adjust or change menu items to suit your taste. We will schedule a cooking date after you approve the menu.
I have a recipe that I would love to make if I had the time. Can you make it for me?
Why, yes! I'd be happy to give one of your favorites a try.

What if I am trying to lose weight or I am on a special diet?
With my own health concerns, I appreciate the need to keep dietary restrictions in mind. We will work together to customize a menu that meets your needs.
Can you prepare the meals in your home and bring them to me when you are finished?
My service is preparing dinner meals in your home. This avoids the need to establish or have access to a commercial kitchen - that helps to keep your cost down.

Do I have to do the grocery shopping before the cooking date?
No. I will do the grocery shopping for the meals you have approved on the morning of the cooking date before coming to your home.
How long does it take to prepare the meals?
You can expect me to be in your kitchen for 5 to 6 hours. I will bring all of my own equipment, and clean up before I leave. You will hardly know I have been there, except for the mouth-watering aromas on the cooking date, and the new, custom-prepared meals packaged and placed in your refrigerator and freezer.

How long will the meals last?
That depends on how quickly you consume them. A standard service of 5 entrees and sides with 4 servings each provides 20 meals. A family of four would consume these meals over a shorter period of time than a single person.
How much does your service cost?
My basic service is 5 meals (1 entree and 1 side item) with 4 servings each. The fee for this service is $250 plus the cost of food and containers. This includes the menu planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation and packaging. Typically, the total cost of this service of 20 meals is approximately $350 to $400. Your actual cost will depend on the kinds of meals you select. Other services with a lesser or greater number of servings, with a different number of entrees or sides, or with dietary restrictions, will be priced based on your needs. Ask me about my "economy service".
Can I purchase your services for someone else?
Certainly. You can purchase a gift certificate for a single or multiple meal service. I will coordinate the details of the actual service with the recipient. Mother's Day, anniversaries, new mothers, birthdays, newlyweds, medical recoveries, client gifts, military deployment, etc. (and any other reason you can think of) are all great gift-giving opportunities.
Can you prepare a dinner party meal?
Yes. I am available for small, in-home dinner parties, or similar events such as bridal showers, anniversary parties, etc.
